As a global bestseller, cult-favourite amongst beauty influencers and regularly recommended by doctors, naturopaths and integrative healthcare practitioners—GLOW Inner Beauty Essential has undoubtedly stood the test of time and held up to its ‘glowing’ reputation.

But if you’re yet to try our delicious daily inner beauty powder, we thought it might be useful to take a deep dive into our glow-getting formula and share some of the incredible ingredients that deliver such mind-blowing results. Formulated to not only improve skin radiance, GLOW® contains an abundance of antioxidants, polyphenols and phytonutrients—working synergistically to nourish your gut health for bolstered immunity, improved wellbeing and to deliver a glow that no amount of cosmetics can replicate.

Here’s a breakdown of the ingredients that make GLOW® so (so!) good...

Vitamin C

Perhaps most well-known for its immune-boosting benefits—supporting epithelial barrier function and combating inflammation—vitamin C is a powerhouse antioxidant and one that is essential for our overall health and wellbeing. It’s also a vitamin that we are unable to produce on our own—which is why it’s so important that we consume enough of this incredible nutrient every single day. In terms of how it supports our skin health, vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis—collagen being the protein that keeps our skin plump, firm and free from fine lines and wrinkles—and is also necessary for healthy normal skin function. Vitamin C also plays an integral role in protecting our cells from the ageing effects of oxidative stress and free radical damage. Containing 200% of your daily RDI of vitamin C, GLOW® is a great source of this powerful nutrient and a simple way to reap the benefits of this multitasking vitamin!

Zinc

Although technically a mineral, zinc actually behaves like an antioxidant and boasts a myriad of benefits for our skin, hair, nail, immune and overall health! Like vitamin C, zinc is protective against free radicals and promotes more robust, resilient skin by assisting with wound healing. It’s also an essential nutrient for strong healthy hair and nails. But zinc’s impressive profile also extends to its immune-boosting benefits—helping to combat oxidative stress, inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines and bolster our immune defences. Zinc deficiency is linked to an impaired immune system as it’s important for the production of neutrophils and natural killer cells—and it’s also considered essential because (like vitamin C), we don’t produce it ourselves. Many of our inner beauty formulas include zinc due to its amazing benefits, but even if you don’t consume enough zinc elsewhere, GLOW® will provide you 50% of your daily RDI!

Niacinamide

Also commonly known as vitamin B3, this skin-protective antioxidant combats inflammation and oxidative damage, supports healthy skin structure to keep your skin soft, smooth and glowing—and also assists with energy release from food, helping to reduce fatigue and boost overall vitality. In GLOW®, we have included activated niacinamide which is derived from sprouted quinoa—a more bioavailable form of this powerhouse vitamin to ensure better absorption, digestibility and maximum benefits.

Biotin

You’ve likely heard of biotin as it’s often found in hair and skin supplements—and for good reason! Also known as vitamin B7, biotin is a water-soluble vitamin and although rare, deficiency can lead to thinning hair, red skin rashes, dry skin and inflammation. Our gut bacteria also synthesise biotin, so nurturing your microbiome is key to ensuring you reap the beauty benefits of biotin. Deriving from sprouted quinoa, the biotin in GLOW® also assists with macronutrient metabolism and energy production for improved vitality.

Provitamin A

Sourced from natural beta-carotene sources including bio-fermented maqui berries and queen garnet plum, provitamin A is a potent antioxidant that converts to vitamin A in the body. Helping to fight free radicals, combat the effects of UV damage, promote healthy skin structure and the creation and repair of skin cells, vitamin A is also an essential nutrient in the fight against ‘inflammaging’.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GUT5Y™

At The Beauty Chef, we talk a lot about the importance of probiotics and fermented foods—not only for skin health, but our overall health, immunity and wellbeing, too. Our bio-fermented formulas and our very own exclusive probiotic strain, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GUT5Y™, is shown in studies to support digestive wellbeing and skin health by bolstering intestinal barrier function and decreasing intestinal permeability. Given that our gut can influence and impact almost every aspect of our health—GLOW® is designed to work from the inside out, nourishing and nurturing your digestive health so you can experience not only radiant skin, but more energy, boosted immunity, reduced inflammation and improved wellbeing.
